Oklahoma Gas and Electric filed a rate review with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on Sept. 30, 2026, asking for about $395 million a year, which it describes as a 14% total bill increase over rates set in July 2024. OG&E's regulatory affairs director testified that the average residential customer would pay $23.88 more a month, about a 17.5% increase in the monthly bill. The company cites capital investment since its last case, a higher return on equity (10.5% proposed, up from 9.5%), updated depreciation and higher vegetation management costs. The case has just started: rates are not changing yet, a public hearing is expected in spring 2027, and under Oklahoma's 180-day rule OG&E may put interim rates into effect if the commission has not ruled by late March 2027.
